Removing a Client from Payroll Relief
Overview
This article explains how to remove a client from Payroll Relief when the client should no longer be active in the service. Use this guidance when a client was added to Payroll Relief in error or should only be active in After-the-Fact Payroll rather than full Payroll Relief.
Where to Remove a Client from Payroll Relief
Clients must be removed from Payroll Relief through the Firm Administration area of the program. The client code section within the Administration area does not include an option to uncheck or remove Payroll Relief — the Terminate action under Firm Administration > Client Management is the correct path.
How to Remove a Client from Payroll Relief
Follow these steps to terminate a client's Payroll Relief access:
-
Navigate to Firm Administration > Client Management
-
Locate the active client in the client list.
-
Select the checkbox on the far right of the client's row.
-
Select Terminate at the bottom of the screen.
-
Confirm that the client is no longer showing as Active in Payroll Relief
After Termination
Once the client no longer appears as Active in Payroll Relief, no further action is required. If the client should remain active in After-the-Fact Payroll only, confirm that the After-the-Fact Payroll setup is in place separately from the Payroll Relief termination.
