Moving the Doc-ItServer folder to a new drive
These are the steps to change drive and drive letters.
- Stop all doc-it services including Firebird, and FileZilla
- Disable the shares for each of Doc-ItServer, Doc-ItServer\Client Setup and Doc-ItServer\SearchAgent folders.
- Copy the entire \Doc-ItServer to the new drive using the proper command to retain NTFS permissions.
- Edit the following files with the new drive letter where original drive letter is found:
1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Doc.It Suite 4\Doc.It Server Components 4\ConfigPath.xml - Change drive letter on first two lines under <ServicesCommon> to reflect the new drive letter.
2. \Doc-ItServer\Client Setup\Install Client\DocItSettings.xml - Change drive letter in the <DocItSettings> section only to reflect the new drive letter - two spots.
3. \Doc-ItServer\Manager\Firebird\DocItDBConnect.txt - Change drive letter found here to reflect the new drive letter.
FileZilla Server: Go to Edit\Users\Shared folders and Remove old and Add new Doc-ItServer directory on the new drive. Check all boxes as well
- Share the Doc-ItServer, Doc-ItServer\Client Setup and Doc-ItServer\SearchAgent folders with Everyone / Full permissions
Start all services back up.
