Performing a Client update from the Doc.It Server(no longer in use)
Updating Doc.It Suite version 4 Client Software
(Administrators Only)
Client
Please place any new updates that have been released from Doc.It into the following location (Resides on
the Doc.It Server):
Location: :\Doc-ItServer\Client Setup\Install Updates\
Updating the UpdatesSettings.XML file (below) will ensure that this new update will be a firm wide
update.
Location: :\Doc-ItServer\Client Setup\UpdateSettings.XML
Update the following section within the UpdateSettings.XML to reflect the new update version and save
the changes.

Opening Doc.It Suite on each user workstation will perform the update automatically. Once the software
has been updated the Client will automatically restart.
*** For Terminal Services and Citrix Environments it is very important to
set the environment into installation mode first. We recommend a
manual uninstall of Doc.It Suite 4 followed by an installation of the new
Doc.It Suite 4 build.
