Reporting
The Network Device Reporting page allows the User to search for one of the following items:
Specific software — enter the name of the software e.g. Word, Excel, then select Go.
Operating System — enter the operating system e.g. Windows 7, Linux, then select Go.
Make — enter the make of the machine e.g. Dell, Stone, then select Go.
In each of the above cases the devices found that match the criteria entered are displayed in a table and typically contain the following:
- Asset ID (if the asset is linked)
- IP Address
- MAC Address
- Make
- Last Update (the date when the Network Discovery Tool was last run)
- More...
Select More Details to display further information about a device.
The information in More Details typically contains the following:
- Asset ID (if the asset is linked)
- MAC Address
- IP Address
- Device type
- Make
- Operating System
- Processor type
- Name
- Serial Number
- Storage capacity and free space
- Installed Memory
- Software installed (only included if include software was selected when the Network Discovery Tool was run).
The relevant asset ID can be entered, if required. The information is then linked in the Network Discovery Tool with the asset and can be viewed in the Edit Asset page.
