July 30th, 2026 Release Notes

The following fixes and updates have been made to Payroll Relief on July 30th, 2026. This includes OBBBA Qualified Tips and Overtime support, state tax and rate updates for Georgia, Arkansas, and Minnesota, quarterly form and e-file corrections, general ledger and reporting fixes, and check printing improvements.

Client Management

Client Visibility Fixed Fix

Clients now display in Client Management even if they do not have an approved payroll.

One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA): Compliance — Qualified Tips & Overtime

Qualified Tips Column Added to Payroll Entry New

A Qualified Tips column has been added to Payroll Entry for approved and contractor payrolls. The value totals all tip pay items marked Include in Qualified Tips in Pay Types, from Employer Setup. They cannot be overridden, and payroll approval is blocked until each tipped employee or contractor has at least one Traditionally Tipped Occupational Code (TTOC) set up.

Traditionally Tipped Occupational Code (TTOC) Assignment for Contractors New

Contractors can now be assigned up to two Traditionally Tipped Occupational Codes (TTOCs) in Employment, from the Employee Setup, matching the setup already required on the employee side for Qualified Tips reporting.

New Employee Tips and Qualified Tips Report New

A new report lets employers access an employee's or contractor's paycheck tips, cash tips, and qualified tips before year end, broken out by TTOC.

Qualified OT Total Display Fixed Fix

Corrected an issue where the Qualified OT Total was not displaying on Payroll Entry.

Compliance — State and Federal Tax Updates

Georgia SIT — TY2026 Flat-Rate Update Update

Georgia state income tax moves to a flat 4.99% rate with a new standard deduction and no exemption/allowance amount, effective July 1, 2026.

The EE/Spouse Allowance field, no longer used in the calculation, has been hidden in Taxes on Employee/Contractor Setup.

Arkansas SIT Rate Update Update

Arkansas withholding tables have been updated with a new standard deduction, credit amount, and supplemental rate, effective July 1, 2026.

HSA Deduction Limits for TY2027 Update

2027 HSA annual deduction limits ($4,500 individual / $9,000 family) are now available in Rate Editor, effective January 1, 2027.

Minnesota (MN) PFML Rate Update Update

MN PFML is now calculated on gross wages without the Section 125 exception, consistent with SUTA, effective July 1, 2026.

Minnesota (MN) Wage Calculation Fix Fix

Corrected an issue where MN SUTA, PFML, and Paid-Leave-Only calculations were not using the correct wage basis.

Minnesota (MN) Joint PFML and Connecticut (CT) PFML — Recorded Amount Owed Fix

Recorded forms for MN Joint PFML and CT PFML now correctly schedule the difference of amount owed instead of leaving it unscheduled.

Forms and E-file Updates

Vermont (VT) WHT-436 (Q) Corrections Fix

Corrected the Health Care Contribution (HC-1) worksheet to use the current-year rate instead of the prior year's rate, and updated form detail fields.

Illinois (IL) 941 Schedule P and Employer Number Fixes Fix

Contractor business names now display correctly on IL 941 Schedule P, and IL 941 now correctly updates the employer's sequence or ID number.

Kentucky (KY) Boone 1906 (Q) TY2026 Update Update

Tax year, quarter end/due dates, wage base and max tax, and mailing address have been updated.

New Mexico (NM) ES 903A (Q) Preview Error Fixed Fix

Resolved an error preventing employers from previewing NM ES 903A.

Connecticut (CT) CT-941 (Q) Tax Year Display Fix Fix

Corrected overlapping tax year text in the corner of the form.

Florida (FL) RT-6 (Q) Duplicate Amounts Fixed Fix

Corrected duplicate employee amount values displaying on the form.

FED 940 (A) — State Unemployment Surcharges Excluded Fix

Federal Form 940 now excludes state unemployment surcharges from the Line 10 credit calculation so only actual SUTA payments are counted. This affects the following states:

  • New Hampshire
  • Nevada
  • New York
  • Rhode Island
  • South Carolina
  • South Dakota
  • Washington

Reports

WYO-056 Overstated Wages Fixed Fix

Corrected overstated Workers' Compensation total wages for codes shared by multiple employees, and excluded tips that should not count toward WC wages.

Default Active-Employee Filter Added to Reports New

Employee Paystubs, Employee Hours Paid, Employee OT and Qualified OT, Employee Earnings and Taxes, Employee Earnings by Type, and Retirement Contributions now support filtering by Active (default), Inactive, or All employees, with the employee dropdown label reflecting the selected filter.

Check Reprint Logging Fixed Fix

Reprinting a check with a new (next) check number is now logged correctly in the Changes report, including both the old and new check numbers and the correct payroll type.

Payroll Summary — Missing Employer Taxes Fixed Fix

Corrected employer taxes that were missing from the Payroll Summary report.

Minnesota (MN) Paid-Only Account General Ledger Fixed Fix

Corrected a general ledger imbalance related to MN Paid-Only accounts.

Minnesota (MN) Employer PFML General Ledger Balance Corrected Fix

Corrected a general ledger imbalance related to MN employer PFML tax.

Check Printing and Payment Operations

EFT Application Screen — Credit Check Disclosure Removed Update

Removed the credit-check disclosure text and checkbox from the EFT Application screen in E-Services, since credit checks are no longer performed.

Check Printing Telephone Number Fix Fix

Tax agency checks now print the correct company telephone number.

Third-Party Check Overprinting Fixed Fix

Corrected an issue causing more third-party checks to print than needed for a given pay date.

Security

A vulnerability flagged by static analysis, a web-cache issue on the sign out page, and an update to force sign out processes have been corrected. You do not need to do anything.
