September 30th, 2026 Release Notes

This release was deployed to production on September 30, 2026 and includes a payroll calculation rounding correction, an informational note for states requiring W-4 allowance verification, and a fix for employee full-time or part-time status not saving.

Payroll Calculation Accuracy

Wage Amount Rounding Corrected for Q3 Compliance Forms Fix

Some wage amounts were being stored rounded to four decimal places instead of two, which could cause compliance forms — such as state unemployment wage listings — to show a total that doesn't match the sum of the individual employee amounts by a cent or more. Affected Q3 wage amounts have been corrected to round to two decimal places.

Employee Setup

Informational Notes Added for States Requiring W-4 Allowance Verification Update

California, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, and Idaho are decoupled from the federal W-4 and still use allowances or exemptions, which require state-specific verification above certain thresholds. Navigating to Employee Setup, then Taxes, now shows an informational note next to the Exemptions field for employees in these states, explaining when the employer must submit the employee's state withholding form for state approval.

Employee Full-Time or Part-Time Status Now Saves Correctly Fix

An employee's full-time or part-time status set on the Employee Employment screen — whether entered manually or through an employee file upload — was not being retained after leaving and returning to the screen. The selection now saves and displays correctly.
