Create non WIP bill

Managers Partners  Billers

Non WIP Bills are bills that do not affect the client’s WIP balance at all, recording an entry into the client’s A/R transactions only. An example of their use is for when a bill is to be raised for a commission where no work has been performed.

Non WIP bills are created in the same way as a Manual Bill and use the same Wizard.

The New Draft Bill View

Creating a Non WIP Bill requires the Work with WIP checkbox on the New Draft Bill View to be unchecked – if allowed. This checkbox is controlled by the WIP Bills Required? setting on the Settings tab of Billing Administration.

Once unchecked, the WIP Type will be shown as Non-WIP and the WIP selection will be hidden. The Create Draft Bill button will become active.

The Bill Wizard

The Header, Narrative and Actions tabs are the same as a Manual Bill.

The Analysis tab allows for a client or job to be added that the A/R transaction will be allocated against, and for the bill amount to be entered. Non WIP bills can only be Final Bills because they do not affect WIP.
