Create unlinked credits

An unlinked credit allows for an arbitrary credit to be created that does not affect the WIP.

Unlinked credits are created in the same way as a credit memo.

  1. A new credit memo is created by clicking New Unlinked Credit at the top of the page. This will open the Unlinked Credit page.

  2. If cross Organizational billing has been permitted through the Billing Administration settings, there will be a choice to select the Organization that the credit memo is to be allocated against.

  3. Enter the Partner and Manager to be allocated against the Unlinked Credit. The drop-down lists will display any Partner and Manager that are connected to the client via Client, Service or Job level ownership.

  4. Select the Service and Job that the Unlinked Credit will be allocated to.

  5. Set whether the credit memo is for either Time or Disbursements and select the date for the Unlinked Credit.

  6. Enter a reference and the amount to be credited. Adjust the tax rate if required, the tax amount will be calculated but can be adjusted if needed.

  7. Enter any narrative that is to appear on the Unlinked Credit. If more than one layout is available, select the desired layout.

  8. Once all the information has been entered, click Create.
