Maintain prospect opportunity rates

Prospect opportunity ratings dictate the behaviour of opportunities within the Prospect and Pipeline module. They create the colour bandings that display the opportunities, the rated value and the outcome.

  1. Select Admin > Categories from the menu.

  2. Select Special Categories from the list, then select Prospect Opportunity Rates.

  3. Click Add (or View/Edit to edit an existing category).

  4. Make any changes, then click Save. See the following table for more detail.

FIELD DESCRIPTION
Description Enter a name for the rating type which will be displayed in the applicable drop-down list(s).
Style Provides 5 colour options when opportunities are displayed on the Prospects page and dashboard.
Rate Factor The percentage that the budget value will be multiplied by to create the rated value of the opportunity. Lower expectation ratings generally have a lower rate factor.
Display Order The order in which the ratings will be displayed in the list.
Colour This field does not affect opportunities.
Status

This field will link the opportunity rating to one of three hard coded ratings used in the Prospects and Pipeline module – Active, Sold and Lost. Opportunity ratings linked to Active will remain displayed in the module. Ratings linked to Sold will create either a new take on request for non-clients or a new job for existing clients. Ratings linked to Lost will remove the contact from the Prospects tab and place it back to a business card.

Two mandatory Opportunity Ratings are Lost and Sold.
