Adding Staff to or Removing Staff from a Pool

Staff can be added to Staff Pools either in Staff Pools setup, as described below or - after Pools have been set up, and if so enabled - via the Staff record (see Adding Staff to or Removing Staff from a Pool via the Staff Record).

To add Staff to a Pool in Staff Pools setup:

  1. Select the Pool in the Pools grid.
  2. Beneath the Staff in <Pool Name> grid, click Add.

    This displays the Staff Search window.

    In this window:

  3. Use the Staff filter to locate the Staff you want to add to the Pool.

  4. For each Staff member you want to add, select the checkbox in the Selected column.

    Each time you enter a new Search, any current checkbox selections are discarded.

  5. Click Save and Close.

    The Staff you selected are added to the Pool and listed in the Staff in <Pool Name> grid.

  6. If you want a member of Staff to be Hidden, select.
  7. Hidden - Select the checkbox in the Hidden column only if you want the Staff to be excluded from future search results.

    Staff records cannot be deleted once thy are referenced in existing data, so the Hidden setting allows Staff to be excluded from searches if they are no longer available.

To remove Staff from a Pool:

  1. In the Pools grid, select the relevant Pool.
  2. In the Staff in <Pool Name> grid, select the Staff member you want to remove from the Pool.

    Multiple-selection of Staff is not supported in this grid.

  3. Beneath the Staff in <Pool Name> grid, click Delete.
  4. You are prompted for confirmation. Click OK.

    The Staff you selected are removed from the Pool, and from the Staff list in the Staff in <Pool Name> grid.
