File Area - 1. Creating a File Area

Each Client must have a File Area before they can be accessed in DMS.

Select the View action (as highlighted) for the required Client. For those Clients that already have a File Area set up, you will taken to their area. For those that do not already have an area, you will be prompted to set one up.

To display existing file areas

  • Select from the available list of templates, or select the Default Template.

  • If the File Area needs to be linked to a Job, then this can be selected.

  • The File Area must be given a name.

  • The Status of the File Area can be set. Areas are Active by default, but if the Area is not required straight away, this can be turned off, making this particular File Area unavailable until changed.

  • A Year must also be selected.

Once this initial set up has been done, select Create to complete the process, or Cancel to exit.

Templates can be created and edited in the DMS Templates area
