Key highlights

New features and enhancements

Billing and invoicing

Future Billing Management

This release introduces a centralised module for managing all future bills, allowing users to search, edit, copy, hold, and open draft PDFs from one location. Provides a one-stop view of all system-wide future bills, so that users don't need to dig through multiple client/job User Defined Fields (UDF) records to view upcoming or scheduled bills.

Date Variable Substitution

Billing paragraphs now support dynamic date variables such as Today, Month End, Year Start, and Job Year. The system automatically updates these values based on user settings and client year‑end rules, reducing manual corrections and ensuring invoice narratives remain accurate and consistent.

Billing performance improvements

Enhancements in caching, query optimization, and data handling significantly reduce load times in billing screens. This improves billing efficiency, especially for firms managing large volumes of bills, and results in a smoother and more responsive user experience.

Billing Allocation Type Controls

Allocation type visibility - such as Custom, Last In First Out (LIFO), and First In First Out (FIFO) - can now be configured at both firm and user levels. This streamlines the billing interface by hiding unnecessary options and reducing clutter for teams who do not require all allocation methods.

Billing Compact Mode

A new compact layout gives users the option to hide navigation panels and collapse secondary interface areas, helping them focus on billing tasks and improving overall screen space usage.

Invoice Format Handling

Default invoice formats now follow a clearer hierarchy and update correctly when jobs are added or fees clients change. This reduces confusion and minimizes adjustments needed during billing setup. Default Invoice is available on the Job.

Cross-Client Billing Privileges

Cross‑Client Billing now uses a privilege-based model rather than a firm‑level configuration. This gives administrators clearer control over who may bill across related clients and helps ensure appropriate access while supporting complex parent-child client structures.

Bad Debt Aging Rule

A minimum invoice age rule now applies to bad debt allocations, aligning the workflow with standard accounting practices and preventing premature write‑offs.

VAT Disbursement Classification

New classification and warning messages ensure disbursements included on bills comply with VAT rules. This improves accuracy in VAT reporting and reduces compliance risks.

Client Currency Visibility

Client currency is now displayed in billing grids, providing better visibility during multi‑currency billing scenarios and reducing errors in billing review.

Billing Client Search

The legacy billing client search has been replaced with a more modern and consistent Staff Data Capture (SDC) selector with improved filtering by office, partner, manager, industry, and client type. This supports faster and more precise client lookup.

Accounts Receivable (AR) and credit control

Bad Debt Allocation Improvements

Bad debt allocation rules now ensure invoices meet minimum age thresholds, providing stronger adherence to accounting standards and improving auditability.

Credit Control Escalation

An Escalated Date column has been added to Credit Control to clarify when items were escalated and to provide better visibility into escalation history.

Job management

Job Rollover Enhancements

Job rollover now includes improved filtering, better dialog sizing, corrected invalid status indicators, and clearer visibility into rollover configuration. These changes provide more reliable rollover behavior and reduce setup issues.

Staff Budget Templates

Budget templates can now be applied to multiple staff members at once with validations that prevent conflicts such as overlapping budgets or incompatible start dates. This improves budgeting efficiency and reduces repetitive configuration work.

Due dates

Due Dates Step Editing

Due Dates templates now support double‑click editing for steps, reducing the time needed to maintain templates and improving workflow efficiency.

Multi-Select Reassignment

Multi‑select staff reassignment has been extended across Due Dates workflows, making it easier to reassign multiple steps during scheduling changes.

Timesheets and expenses

Working Time Group Fix

Time & Expense calculations now use correct individual hours when no group is assigned, ensuring accurate required hours for part‑time and non‑default staff.

Auto-Approve TSC Timesheets

TSC timesheets can now be approved automatically, reducing manual approval workload and accelerating timesheet processing.

Time & Expense Navigation

Improved left‑pane tab behavior enhances navigation and screen usability in the Time & Expense module.

User Defined Fields (UDF)

Client UDF Admin Fee

Client‑level UDF now support default admin fees, improving billing configuration consistency across client records.

UDF Default Values

Default values now apply correctly when creating new jobs, ensuring cleaner data entry and reducing manual corrections.

Integrations

Business Central integration

The integration now supports multiple dimensions and sub‑accounts referencing the same tables, giving firms more flexible export and mapping options.

Opportunity Tracking

Pagination and performance have been improved in the Opportunity Tracking grid, and additional test coverage enhances reliability across opportunity configurations.

Platform and administration

Selector Result Limits

Many SDC selectors now support configurable maximum result limits, improving performance for large datasets and giving firms more control over selector load behavior.

Saved Layout Enhancements

Layout saving has been improved by using selector‑based keys and expanding support across grids, ensuring layouts persist reliably across updates.

Privilege Management

Privileges are now organized alphabetically with duplicates removed, simplifying administration and making privilege review easier.

Automatic Configuration Reload

System configuration now reloads automatically at startup, ensuring new settings are applied without manual intervention.

Replace Terms Updates

Hard‑coded text has been replaced with Replace Terms in various areas, allowing terminology to be customized consistently across the platform.

OKTA Sync Progress

A new progress bar provides visibility into OKTA synchronization operations, helping users understand long‑running sync status.

WIP Provisions

A new firm switch provides independent control over secondary approval levels in Work in Progress (WIP) Provisions, giving firms more flexibility in how they structure approval workflows.

SSRS Report Types

A new Report Types management area improves organization and editing of report metadata, making reporting setup clearer and easier to maintain.

System improvements

System performance

System‑wide improvements address caching consistency, concurrent operations, error handling, and performance stability, resulting in more reliable day‑to‑day usage.
