Deploying Star Mobile for your users
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites are required for a successful Star Mobile deployment.
Infrastructure
While it is a client’s responsibility to secure their corporate network with their own preferred solutions and custom hardware (firewalls, servers, etc.), the secure deployment of Star Mobile applications requires the following:

A network DMZ.

On-premises Active Directory synchronised with Azure AD.

A proxy server within the DMZ, with an appropriate SSL certificate to allow https

An external URL for the Star Mobile web service must be registered in DNS and publicly resolvable.

A web server on the client LAN, to host the Star Mobile data web service through which the mobile application communicates with the Star Practice Management database.
SSL Certification
You must have an appropriate SSL Certificate for the intended Mobile URL and installed as required. An SSL certificate will also be required on the IIS server in the LAN to allow https communication between the proxy server and the IIS server.
Dot.Net
The Star Mobile web service requires that the Microsoft .Net core hosting bundle be applied to the IIS server it can be obtained from Microsoft.
