Dynamic URL Components
Dynamic URL Components are links to the web, so not reports as such. Other reports (or items) can be linked to Dynamic URL Components, passing in parameters that can, in turn, form part of the URL. For example: By linking to a Dynamic URL, an organisation's postcode could be passed as a parameter to a Web mapping service, and the organisation's location would then be displayed.
To access Dynamic URL Components:
-
In the Setup menu bar, select Components / Dynamic URL Components.
To locate an existing Dynamic URL Component, use either the filters in the column headers or the scroll bar and the page navigation controls in the grid footer (for details, see Column Filters and Page Navigation).
To create a new Dynamic URL:
- Click New to display the Create Dynamic URL Component screen.
In the Dynamic URL List, on the grid row representing each Component:
- Edit - Displays the Edit Dynamic URL Component screen.
- Delete - Displays a Delete Confirmation prompt, in which you must either confirm or cancel the deletion of the selected Component.
