Introduction to User Defined Forms
Custom Forms—also known as User Defined Forms, or UDF—are used for data maintenance, i.e, to maintain the data that is stored in four main tables in the Star Database—Client, Job, Staff, and Contact—for each of which there is a corresponding maintenance module in StarPM.
Any forms, tabs and field controls previously defined in the Star PDM Manage Custom Forms module can be used in StarPM, with existing controls being rendered in StarPM as Web pages.
Both Custom Forms modules (StarPM and Star PDM) can be run concurrently.
Form maintenance must be carried out in Star PDM, and is outside the scope of this document. For details, refer to the document 'Star Practice Management V2 Custom Forms', a PDF of which (filename 'User Defined Forms.pdf') can be ontained from your Star consultant.
